You made the war reference to what people “endured.”



People left areas across the world on rickety ships knowing there would be fatalities in the journey. But liberty and living life was worth the risk.



We fought the revolutionary way knowing there would be fatalities because we (some) felt liberty was more important than complying with the crown. We could have just stayed in our safe space with much less risk.



You can look at WW2 the same way. We could have just complied and there have been less risk to many.



So, all the things people before us “endured” to protect our liberty, some are willing and even promoting others give up liberties voluntarily for an indefinite period. And to what end? Until ALL risk is gone? Should we lockdown and mask up every fall when the flu returns? Flu deaths don’t matter?



And it isn’t “just a mask.” The list of things is long and distinguished.



And anybody that ever leaves their bubble in the basement and wanders out of their house, there is somebody who can point the finger and say you aren’t taking it seriously enough and that you are posing a risk and don’t care about others.



Irony? Yep.
