This is a global health crisis that has forced all governments worldwide to defer to the expertise of epidemiologists and virologists. By your logic passengers on our aircraft should not have to wear masks because it's limits their "freedom". Nope. I don’t have a problem with a private business dictating a mask. There are plenty of the experts you mentioned above who also have a counter opinion. I have not seen an official poll, but even if it is a majority, that doesn’t make them right, and of course it doesn’t make them wrong either. A majority rule attitude is what lead to the death of George Washington fwiw.
I listen to both sides, look at the data and come to an informed decision. I can show you multiple data points like in the post above where the experts used a data point to back their position and to put it kindly, their declaration didn’t age well and actually tells the opposite story. Funny, I don’t see many retractions in news stories.
