Some of these pilots weren’t necessarily doing it to help the company. They were doing it in hopes that it would help out stranded pilots who needed planes to get back to base. The company used their good deed to their advantage. But you are right, hopefully lesson learned and we think twice about doing anything that benefits the company from here on.
