Saw that. They need to turn some of that stuff into Caribbean layovers. Depressing to get a hint of sunshine and warm weather only to return to NYC for a 12 hour layover in the cold. Probably have to wait for the van too

I realize no base "owns" the flying. And I look forward to my UVF layover from ATL next month. But four layovers in NYC?
It reminds me of when I was back on the ER on a layover in BRU while on a 6-day (JFK-BRU-ATL-BRU-JFK.)
We ran into an ATL crew that was also on a 6-day. You guessed it: ATL-BRU-JFK-BRU-ATL.
That's 3 hotels in midtown Manhattan and 3 hotels in downtown ATL that were completely unnecessary. (But time that APU to come on line just as you pull into the gate, FO's.
)
