Just like any airline it comes down to what's best for you. Things haven't changed much in the last few years, rules wise, so commuting to sunny isn't great. Doable, but not great. Don't chase the upgrade. It's 2ish years right now, but that could change in an instant depending on where the future of the company goes. All that being said I should qualify it with the fact that I actually do really like working here. You do some fun and interesting flying and the crews are great. I think there's a lot of potential for contract improvements too, with negotiations approaching fast I think a lot of big gains will be coming. Call be a hopeless optimist. Really, coming to sunny now is just kinda a gamble. Coming here could be like coming to NK just before their last big contract and you get hundreds of pilots after you quick. Or it could be 5 years before our next contract. No one knows, it's just how much risk you can tolerate.
This post says it well. You will have your posts that someone will gripe all the negative and recommend other airlines. Yet, you need to question why are they still at the airline themselves and urge someone to not come?

You know where your current job is and won’t go up much from there. The possibility of SY going big like NK is possible, but not guaranteed.
If I recall correctly the SEC filing states, SY is expected to have 60 PAX airplanes by the end of 23. We’re currently at 42 give or take. That’s prior to any expectation of going public being successful. Jude will do his best to get SY to go public, so you can take it as very good odds that at a minimum is the growth to expect.
The other thing to consider is the current rate. They just released the 767 rates and ALPA stated that they expect to negotiate the 737 rates within 90 days. The Co and ALPA have been on good terms lately.
Personally I feel something confidential is already happening, and we are waiting for it to be announced.
