then they aren’t adequately delegating tasks as well as they used to, or the committee chairmen aren’t staffing and training their committees fully. The best MEC chairmen were good people managers. Getting enough subject matter experts to delegate things to made it a different job.
With technology the way it is, it shutdowns be much easier to hold regular MEC committee meetings on Zoom to keep them involved and working. The best we had was teleconferencing and it was just starting to have software to let us push out a PowerPoint slideshow. Now the stuff like Adobe connect is amazing. Zoom style video conference window, desktop for papers, powerpoints, videos whatever, chat window, instant message, all on one screen at once. It’s good stuff.
