Wow, I could have skipped basic and AIT. All those runs, and push ups, and endless classes on tactics. Skipped the months of helicopter maintenance training. All I had to do was go to a surplus store and buy some web gear and boots, and spend a few weekends doing some reenactments to get my military experience and cred? I must be stupid.
I started to just ignore your post but I wanted to sincerely thank you for your service. Sounds like you had some close calls there and I appreciate the service to our country.
Yes, I have only a military background but as I said, it's more than many out there have and I have been on the wrong side of tracers coming at me, blanks of course, but the pucker factor is high. I'm actually proud of having the background that I do and feel I can very closely relate to those who have served before.
