I’m going to play devils advocate and say by summer if flying doesn’t return to DTW then I’d put your transfer to another base that you can easily commute to. I wouldn’t uproot your life to chase flying since you have a solid foundation in DTW. Lots of pilots commute and you’re probably going to have to do it at some point if you move on to another carrier. You can’t keep moving around the country to live in base. If your young maybe, but the older you get it’s less appealing.
