Default How JetLinx Really Works...

Quality of life is a sum of several factors. The first and most impactful is what type of aircraft you are on. The smaller the plane, the busier you will be and worse off your quality of life. Because of the cost to enter the market as a consumer the light jet segment bears the brunt of the workload to include last minute charter flights picked up from other operators. The second factor like was said above is your owner. The owner can set the tone for a lot of your QOL issues. They can deny trips, refuse to allow you to fly on other planes or request that when on an owner trip at a location for multiple days you stay out rather than chartering the plane out. The more charter opportunities your aircraft has, the worse your life will be. Lastly the base you are assigned to plays a role in your quality of life. There are some bases significantly busier than others flying close to 50% more.

Basically because there is no schedule or rotation you can expect to be on a duty status approx 22 days per month with 8 hard days off. The issue with off days is they aren’t assigned until the 25th of the month prior and many people don’t get days granted that they want resulting in their crewing department lumping off days at the beginning and ends of the month. I’ve had 21+ days in a row without days off(not flying each day necessarily but in some sort of duty status). If your owner decides to fly and it’s on your day off you must move your day off with zero compensation.
