Poor example. The feds had to sign off on our “turn off the apu and take your chances” protocol. Is that what happened with the flap settings? Of course not. Perhaps you don’t fly the guppy or understand how razor thin our etops safety margins are. This was nothing more than bean counters finding a way to cut cost at the expense of safety. Sure it’s legal, but after coming from a fleet that had an hmg, rat, and stby nav, I’ll keep what few tools I have available to me at the ready.
