I am unsure why it has to be this way. It seems that if you have any concern over COVID, the answer is to always lock yourself up in a hole. I think you can a healthy respect for it and still do your job. I too know several people who caught it, some had no side effects, some where mild, some are still dealing with lasting problems from it. Sadly, I know some who died from complications from it.
The ones that still are dealing with lasting problems ironically are two of the healthiest people I know, both runners and in very good shape. They struggle mostly with their lung function be much less than pre-covid.
Anyway, lets just all try and respect each other with this and realize people all experience it different. I chose to get the vaccine and feel good about it, granted it was the new JJ one so less "new" technology in it.
