Many have been and are still stuck commuting to reserve. I highly suggest getting a Crashpad versus signing a lease somewhere. It’s ~$250 per month versus spending money on rent at a base that could close anytime the company decides. You’ll most likely be stuck with 0500 reserve and have to commute in the night before but you may get lucky with a later reserve block. It’s doable and not as bad as many make it out to be.
