I would wait to make any moving decisions until you know what base you are assigned to. I would advise to move to base year 1. It will arguably be the toughest schedules you will ever have at FedEx (only gets better after your first day!) and as noted already you will be on reserve quite a bit. Living in base makes a huge difference in QOL and pay. I’ve done both and will never commute again ever. Welcome aboard and congrats on the CJO!!
