I am not going to defend or attack any of this, as I wasn't there. It would seem a lot of this has to do with management forcing upgrades on low time pilots, Covid and ATC, however, Envoy does have a no fault go around policy among others. I have never felt that if I slow down and be safe management would get on me for it. I have always believed that if safety guided my decision, Envoy would support that.
I just think this boils down to experience, currency and perhaps too much trust in ATC reporting. Often times those runway condition codes are hours old and if you miss that key bit of information, you can get in trouble quickly.
