Could be a simple lack of resources as well. AW runs an in-house course that uses CRJ simulators. Could it be they are using those exact simulators for furloughed line holders to get back back on a line? Sure. Maybe they do not have the teaching space just yet. Maybe the instructors are busy with others time sensitive tasks. The list goes on. You are right it could be a short term money saving play but it could be much more or a combination. I too had a 2020 class date and this past year slapped me and taught me patience. Believe me, I dont want to work DoorDash another day... Our time will come.
