It will be easier for the UAL and CAL pilots to accept the DAL/NW merger. Likewise, it will be easier for the DAL and NW pilots to accept the UAL and CAL merger.
For the pilots actually involved in the merger, it will not be easy and regardless of what happens, it will not be deemed 'fair'.
