Am guessing you and I aren't conducting the interviews so go through the union if you have an opinion/suggestion you want to express on the process. It's still the company making the final decision. Once a pilot is here they're welcome in every sense of the word and it's on them to perform well and on us to mentor them as we all uphold the standards we expect of each other. They're high standards as they darn well need to be.
