Right seat 7ER to a left seat 73...no problemo. IMHO, the ER is a better plane, but that 737 will make you a left seat HUD-cripple after your first sim session with it. I'd say go for it.

For the Airbus non-initiated: the thing is built with 3rd world operators and stupid-pilot mistakes in mind. Again, go for it. If you can fly the right seat of a Mad Dog, the left seat of an Airbus is going to be a piece of cake.

Finally, I've no proof of this, but I'm pretty sure the instructors talk amongst themselves, and the LOE check airmen have a very good idea what they're getting when you show up at the real airplane. Nobody's getting signed off for anything "real" unless they're ready. So, trust the system.
