Anyway, it has been shown that reducing entry requirements for specific groups proved counterproductive at Harvard for example. You can’t reduce the course content or pressure or brain power needed to complete the course of education, thus many of those people that get in the door have a constant struggle to keep up.
Just because you lower the entry level standards doesn’t mean the level of competency will be just as high. And competency in an airplane is directly proportional to the level of safety.
Are the Navy SEALs going to lower standards? I doubt it.
Aviation is very specific. It’s a lifestyle that doesn’t work for many many people. If you just want the money but hate the job, why do it?
By all means, encourage everyone to explore aviation.
There are thousands of women flight attendants. Explain to me why there isn't a shortage there, if the issue is being away from home, the demands of travel etc.
