from my experience the planes having issues also falls on the captains that see problems and say “ ahh mx will just sign it off anyway( even if that’s true, there’s a responsibility to have me look at the issue) and never write it up.
Then there’s the “ I don’t wanna **** the next crew and leave them holding the bag “
i’ve flown with fan vibes. The captain doesn’t want to write it up, the next captain says ahh I’m sure it’s nothing but I will check it in flight!
then as you can see in the above quote “ THEN IT MESSES WITH THE SCHEDULE “
