The standards were not lowered when the military included minority pilots.. the standards were shattered in that era and there is historical data to back it up.

This is total BS and a Hollywood myth and media hype. The Tuskegee airmen did lose bombers they escorted. The also didn't enter the war and start escort duties until July 1944.
