My two daughters grew up flying. One still likes to go up and do a loop or two. The other wants nothing to do with airplanes other than the necessary evil of riding in an airliner to vacation somewhere beautiful.

They had all the opportunity in the world to be airline pilots. One is a biomedical researcher the other is in Vet school. Flying for a living is simply unappealing to them. And that doesn’t bother me at all. Flying is something you really have to enjoy and want to do. You can’t be good at it if you don’t enjoy it.
