My University's police made money giving stop sign tickets on "california stops"...and I got nailed 3 times for it (once on ice, where I didn't want to lock up the brakes and slide...guess the CRJ has anti-skid, so it shouldn't matter, but oh well).

My obs. traffic was a case where some old lady wouldn't pull forward enough on the other side of a stop light (traffic backed up in a downtown are)...I entered on a yellow figuring she'd pull up eventually, which she didn't...light turned red, 3 feet of my truck was hanging out in the intersection, and then ANOTHER old lady in the cross-traffic had to (gasp) pull around a little bit to get around me, and honked at me...which provoked an a$#*$()#*$@(#$ motorcycle cop (who always seem to be d-bags with attitutdes) to write the ticket.
