Then they train you, 15 minutes in the sim and you are signed off. But for $100 of sim time they now have an employee who is probably not going to ever leave on his own. AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT PILOT COULD HAVE DONE. His abilities, hard work, hours and hours of preparation all were not a part of the equation.
