Upgrade still has to take into account all the lance captains that will upgrade. That have been bouncing around to maintain their star. There is roughly 950+ FO’s above the bottom captain. On an aggressive year there is 250 rough upgrades a year. Even if half take upgrade (which I think will be more). It’s about 2 years from the time they start calling upgrades!!
Forgot about the lances. Good point. They're kind of a wild card because they're generally more senior than they would be if they chose to upgrade at the first opportunity. Even in a big domicile that's still only around 15 pilots i guess.
