saab you're in MI right? Take a look around you man. The reason the east coast is expensive as compared to MI is because we still have an economy. MI is in shambles. The union automakers are getting laid off left and right. Houses cost less than the wood required to rebuild them. Highest foreclosure rates in the country. Unemployment thru the roof. High taxes. The list goes on.

At least you have a relatively high paying (for the area) job that allows you to live where you want to live. I'm not saying don't complain - you have every right to - but when AWAC closed the midwest bases our pilots didn't have to uproot families or lose their jobs.

I'm just trying to put it in perspective. Be thankful where you are right now! Yes SkyWest was a 20/20 hindsight but did you see that coming? No one did. So why even mention it.
