I'm just trying to put it in perspective. Be thankful where you are right now!

Yes SkyWest was a 20/20 hindsight but did you see that coming? No one did. So why even mention it.
you are right about the Skywest 20/20 thing. I am not too sorry about that. But as far as AWAC, yeah, I am in Michigan now. But I am originally from ATW and was ORD based. Life was actually pretty good for a year or two. Then the floor fell out. Wanted to stick it out and am glad I have not made a lateral move, but I can't keep doing AWAC forever as long as they continue down their path of mediocrity on the east coast.
I am hoping for NWA, UAL or as a last resort EK.
We'll see.
But I sighed up for AWAC so I could live and work close to where I like to live (Midwest) and to have the whole company shifted to the east coast has been a bad experience to say the least. For those with families it is far worse.
It is what it is but I will not be an apologist for the current sorry state of our operation - filthy planes, punctuality in the sewer, low morale, etc. Earning a couple bucks extra per hour is nice, but I'd rather have a reasonable schedule in a place I call home. And the east is just not home to me.
Anyway, I am leaving for Switzerland tonight!

Back to the old buddies and family over there for a week in the mountains! That is one advantage of our business, at least if I get on the flight!
