I have 4 broken vertabrae, two which are fused and locked in with a titanium cage, more titanium in my legs than Darth Vader, had my face re-arranged and spent months learning to walk again after flatlining in the OR 3 times. I'm up to something like 36 surgeries, some big, some small, between the initial keep me from dying and being paralyzed emergency surgery, and a ton of follow up stuff.
She, of course walked out of it with nothing but a sore back. Like how the drunk drivers usually survive the crashes where they kill a family.
She never would have made it that far into the program if she was a guy.
Now imagine that with a 737 full of passengers.
