Depending on your work rules vacation could even be better under PBS than our current system. If you could bid a four day, 30 off, then a four day all during your vacation week and have vacation drop calculated AFTER the bid, your vacation would pay more. Then you could bid weekday trips the rest of the month and not need to spend you vacation months hawking CWA in a desperate attempt to make some kind of trade to get of Friday-Sunday AMs for the weeks you work.
However, trying to explain the nuances of PBS on the line is as fruitless as ****ing into the wind. When I start to hear "My neighbor at United said PBS work work work work..." - I just smile, nod, and turn of my mic.
