If the business traveler can do his business without travel, than to do so is a waste of the corporation's resources. How much does it cost to drive from the east coast to California?? Four days drive, hotels, gas wear and tear; than a return?? For a business traveler $1000 to $3000 is pocket change compared to the alternative. Let them price a charter in a biz jet, makes 1st class look down right cheap.
