Perhaps you read PB's email differently, but my take was it is management's opinion that there is no discussion required and at their discretion the 35 jets and a flow are coming back. I read the applicable portions of the contract and wrote my reps, I absolutely agree with JA's response. If we choose not to engage then those 35 RJs come back and Delta jobs fly out the window. The company hasn't paid a penny for salaries since Covid began and they still managed to eff up the entire situation, its not our job to fix their incompetence. It is our job to keep them in check when they try and blatantly disregard the PWA.
There’s no 35 unless there is a flow down agreement. Management’s opinion is invalid and the grievance will be settled eventually. If I wrote a memo stating the PWA gave me an annual raise previously and I’m now entitled to that if I choose to continue to come to work, would that get me a raise?
