My question on seniority was based on your suggestion that of people are unhappy with their current airline situation then they should just quit. If you know how seniority works, then you know it's not that easy. An unhappy regional pilot may be trying to move on to a legacy/major/LCC/cargo but that's not a given. Their other option in your scenario would be to quit and start over on the bottom of another regional seniority list. "Better the devil you know..." and such. If you are just getting your commercial certificate then you have a long way to go
before you will be at an airline. Keep us posted on your progress. I hope you still have the enthusiasm after you have been grinding away "flying jets and getting paid" for a few years.
I never implied it would be “easy”. But you’re coming onto a forum masked by the internet and complaining like you have to worst job in the world. If it’s as bad as you (I don’t mean you personally) make it sound, than yes...just quit. Grinding away “flying jets and getting paid” is still worlds better than the alternative. Maybe be thankful for having a job at all...or that your job, well...is flying jets.
