Every single person (besides you I suppose) I’ve talked to about it who drives from PA/NJ has said they would want it to be a separate base and not have to deal with JFK/LGA. It's just like, my opinion, man.
I understand why some wouldn't like it. I don't expect it to ever happen. I know others who live near me who would like it as a co-base. I don't like driving to JFK, but would like the option of JFK trips... and since our "Global Open Time" has been such a success (hard sarcasm), a co-base would be the only way to fly those trips. We all have different needs and wants. Nothing will make us all happy. I can't imagine it would be good for commuters sitting SCL who would have to cover all three. That's how United does it. And I believe DL as well.
