Many may have different results, but I have been extended on “the schedule” twice now in 4 years. At least there is some compensation for it plus other ways to mitigate surprise with compensation.

Granted I and some others write from a different perspective having been military. Try extending by weeks, a month or some friends of mine have been extended by months being deployed and we had no additional pay above and beyond. Limited contract or not, still nice having something.
No offense. But coming from another Vet. Please don’t bring our service obligations as a direct comparison to our civilian employers. They are not the same.
