agree, a flow down would have been great 6 months ago, but of course no one was interested in letting thousands of DL pilots cut to the front of their list and our flow down rights conveniently ended almost the exact moment we needed them.
You actually hit on another very good reason why this entire line of attack is a waste of time. By the time this comes into play again, who knows if they will still even be in business. But let's say there is an agreed flow down and it becomes relevant. How many jobs do you honestly think it will 'save'? If they are gonna furlough 1000-2000 guys, would all 2000 go down? A number like that would mean they ain't all gonna be captains. Would a 737 FO go back to the right seat of an RJ? Then there is the time to train. But let's say it is a number significantly less than 1-2000. Say 300. We will have given up bottom end scope to 'save' 300 jobs out of 15,000. That 's a crappy batting average. I'm not saying throw furloughees to the wolves, but for Heaven's sake get something worthwhile for the 15,000 guys on the property.
