This is FAR from a fine deal. DALPA needs to approve (they won’t) or DL needs to win in arbitration ( maybe, but I wouldn’t count on it) or DL needs to give DALPA something in return that they want. (Hint: flowback is t what they want).
and yes, math says 6-8 years for a new hire. (Where does it say new hires don’t get it? That would be stupid considering a flow is PRIMARILY a recruiting tool)
DALPA does not to agree for this to go into effect. The day Delta and Endeavor sign it it will go into effect, at which point DAPLA will file a grievance saying Delta is in violation of the contract. The agreement will stay in effect until an arbitrator nullifies it or an alternative agreement is reached between Delta and ALPA
