I am speaking about the present situation, not the past year.
I am thankful for ExTO, thankful for our ExTO pilots, and thankful that the government has paid my salary and theirs for the better part of the last year.
We have turned the corner, though, and ExTO is no longer a win for the company at all. They will be recalled as soon as they can get them trained. I haven't seen an open time environment like this since summer 2016 and it's not even officially summer flying yet.
As I was typing this, a VPF alert popped up on my phone for a 12tfp MDW turn that nobody picked up in hourly.
