When the 765 started doing permanent west coast 2-day uncommutable trips, the really Junior flood gates opened and have stayed open. FWIW, this last AE was an aberration (in a lot of places), I wouldn’t take any trends from that going forward.
Straight line projections and myopic snapshots are true fools' gold. The specifics of how any one fleet will look in six months or a year, or how pilots will bid is only knowable once pilots have submitted final preferences and the bids have been processed. All other predictions are pure speculation, some good and some bad. The real skill, far more important than sharpshooting any monthly or AE bid, is being realistic in one's expectations and flexible about suitable options and courses of action. Otherwise, grossly overinflated hopes and expectations will always outstrip reality to the point of catastrophe. I forgot, we're talking about pilots, so . . . . nevermind.
