UAL was my sixth airline. There is no comparison to any of the others. You'll feel welcomed and will be treated like an adult.

Do people wash out?
It is possible to wash out but very rare. One story was a new-hire who wouldn't stay off his cell phone in the sim even after being told several times. The screening process does a pretty good job of ensuring that new-hires are trainable and the training program is designed to give you the help you need to succeed.

Is it a positive environment to help each other out?
Very much so.

Is it an aqp program?
Yes, AQP.

Are the 737 and bus hard to learn coming from a regional jet?
I think the hardest course, that a new-hire can get, is the 756 and that only because there are so many variants to learn; 757-200, 757-300, 767-300, and 767-400. Several regional-only pilots in my class took 756, though, and none had any trouble.

Any tips and advice to possible new hires?
Just be professional. Study. Enjoy the experience.
