It is possible to wash out but very rare. One story was a new-hire who wouldn't stay off his cell phone in the sim even after being told several times. The screening process does a pretty good job of ensuring that new-hires are trainable and the training program is designed to give you the help you need to succeed.

Very much so.

Yes, AQP.

I think the hardest course, that a new-hire can get, is the 756 and that only because there are so many variants to learn; 757-200, 757-300, 767-300, and 767-400. Several regional-only pilots in my class took 756, though, and none had any trouble.

Just be professional. Study. Enjoy the experience.
Thank you so much for your insights. This sounds like the place I can flourish in if successful with the application and interview process. I was bummed when Xjt shuttered operations. I know it’ll be a while before I get the chance to be looked at by untied but your insights have a positive vibe not encountered often here on apc. Once again thank you
