737 can be a handful during a go around. Especially at full power. You virtually add power and push down then trim to keep the nose at 10-15 degrees pitch. Pull up and you'll be at 30+ pitch in no time

100% agree, add in the "startle factor" after an all nighter and it's a handful.
Antiquated design, a holdover from a time when pilots were much more hands on because they had to be. Can't imagine it being approved today if it was a "clean sheet" aircraft certification.
Autothrottles don't re-engage, autopilot turns off with loud noises (!) just when a controller is trying to get a readback on some cocked up instruction set, and god help you if the trim bias has kicked in for the autoland and you've decided to hand fly it out into the GA anyway.
