Aren’t shot records protected under hipaa? Seems to me if some individual other than your present/prospective employer presses you for your medical info they’re overstepping.
Even then, you’re required to sign an authorization for your records to be released. Yes, failure to do so can disqualify you for the job, but a company representative can’t arbitrarily shut you out.
Long story short, hipaa protects you from health agencies releasing your info, but employers/businesses can still require the information if you voluntarily consent, at the risk of being denied a job or services. Some employee/captain somewhere can’t set his own medical standard to ride his plane.
