This is another one of those generally correct statements, with a couple exceptions. Some RJ's fly those short routes, like CVG-CRW, CVG-SDF, etc..., and the crew may have a 6 leg day with 5 credit hours. It happens. Again, that's an exception rather than the rule, thank God. Also, RJ's have to fly airways sometimes if the FMS breaks. Granted it doesn't happen often, but still...
