Five years ago it was "not enough pilots, merge with envoy" now its "save money, merge with PSA". Mergers aren't cheap and take a LONG time. The industry changes pretty drastically every few years and yet the number of wholly owns has remained the same..... But by all means, continue on. Can't wait to see what the rumors are in 2025 when all three companies still exist as they are now.
True but the landscape is so unpredictable. 5 years ago would you have thought TSA, XJET, and Compass would all close up shop? Exactly…
Not saying a merger is going to happen. But realistically somewhere down the line the 145s will have to go, and something will have to happen. Maybe not next year, maybe not in 5 or even 10 years, however eventually something will happen. PDT is such a small pilot group and it’s the easiest to “re-distribute” when the time comes.
