Not true.
First, the agreement has not been ratified and ratification is not assumed. If Delta is rolling out it's strategic preparedness and strike committee (as they are this week) and setting up polling and registration for picketing, that suggests pressure is ramping up on this pretty quickly. This issue has unified the Delta pilots.
The language in the agreement states that it is entirely rendered void if the company does not win its' scope grab.
As I've written elsewhere, the language is below the standard of the average PTA bake sale. This thing is a trite ploy to swing a minor arbitration and was not well coordinated; it is very weak. If faced with Delta pilots in the streets the company may simply decide "not worth it." (that is what I'd do with good 717's sitting on the pavement) I'd expect many of your pilots to be hired to fly those jets.
Wonder how 9E pilots who flowed will feel about Delta scope once they are Delta pilots. Obviously, some are cheering for the Delta pilots to lose the very job protections that ensure the most junior of Delta pilots have jobs.
