literally at the end of the month there is a spreadsheet that adds up all your block flown and deadhead (a different ratio of credit). Then it adds up hours away on trip divided by 4.85. Then it compares both of those to minimum guarantee...highest is your pay credit.
Close, but not quite. It's 4.85 hours per day prorated. It is actually 1 hour of credit for every 4.95 hours gone, which is 4.8484848484848~ hours of pay per day. Rounds to 4.85.
