If you want to see underpowered, go ride on a 737-900ER on a hot day in Denver. At normal flaps 5 settings you are very close to exceeding the max tire speeds before the thing starts to fly. After a very long takeoff roll it then climbs out like it got punched in the gut. Then there’s the alternate flaps 5 go around procedure because it doesn’t have the power to go around and meet the climb requirements on one engine at the normal flaps 15 setting. Not all Boeing’s are created equal.
