I would find it surprising to place a big order now. Maybe next year when the recovery is more defined. A lot of current leisure travel is stimulus money and people not working with lots of free time. I have a relative living in Vegas who said the tourists they are getting at the moment are quite different than 2019. I was there a month ago and found that pretty accurate!
The question didn’t mention 787. JL did. If we have an almost-announced order, he would have been a
lot more circumspect. But you’re right that he’s not going to let any cat out of the bag.
Having said that, the final portion of his comments about “used aircraft” was very telling, IMO.
