The latest news at Hawaiian:
1) We have gone full swing from fear of furlough to upgrading 30 Captains on the 330.
2) We have 30 new hire vacancies that need to be filled.
3) Those previously were hired into the pool who were dismissed, recently received letters stating they are still hired and should expect a class in the next several months.
4) 787 time frame has been moved up with the initial cadre going to training in Feb/Mar of 2022.
5) 717 sim is currently being installed in the training center completing the facility.
6) The atmosphere at Koapaka (HQ) is very positive and they appear to be prepping for growth.
It’s very refreshing to see all of the industry recovering so rapidly. 🍻
