Logic would agree with this, but the reality is pretty irritating. LAX doesn’t allow Lyft and Uber to pick you up at the terminal. You now have to go to a special lot and ATTEMPT to get a ride. Once you submit your request on the ride-share app, nobody will show up unless you sign up for the “high-end” options. You want a $20 Uber for a 15-minute ride? Nope. Your only choice is going to be a $60 Uber Black. Ride-share at LAX is now the same as a taxi, except for the licensing and vetting that goes along with it.
It’s a zoo there right now. Uber/Lyft prices in the LA area have been outrageous lately because of a lack of drivers. Unemployment is paying more than they make driving so they’ve been sitting at home collecting a paycheck.
